Blackbeard

Blackbeard (?-1718) One of the most ferocious pirates of the Spanish Main. Blackbeard received his name from his habit of braiding his long, black beard and tying the braids with ribbon. Few Pirates looked and acted as fierce as Blackbeard. Blackbeard made himself look devilish in the thick of fighting by sticking long, lighted matches under his hat, framing his face in fire.

There's a rumor going around that Blackbeard used Cutlass.

Of all the pirates who sailed the seven seas, none achieved more fame in song, story, and legend then the noctorious Captain William Kidd. Down through the years popular fancy has accused Kidd and his crew of every crime in Pirates history.
